Eastern Elevators is offering customers
an innovative antibacterial finish that has been shown to destroy
superbugs within 90 minutes.
Superbugs or methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) are a
problem in hospitals and nursing homes where patients often have open
wounds, catheters etc, and weakened immune systems. The bacteria live
for
approximately 70 hours on standard lift finishes such as glass,
laminate and stainless steel.
The antibacterial treatment is available for wall linings, handrails
and floor coverings. Treated floor coverings are provided by
another supplier.
